Used Tesla Pickup and Inspection Guide

Used Tesla vehicles purchased directly from Tesla will meet Tesla's published used condition standards and come with a full warranty.

Tesla will occasionally miss some cosmetic issues in their inspection, so be prepared to inspect the vehicle yourself and notify Tesla of any issues that do not meet their standards.

If you discover any issues, take photos and show your Tesla delivery advisor. Reference the standards from the Tesla website.

The delivery advisor will usually help, but if needed, you can also submit a service request about the issue after pickup within the Tesla app. Submit your photos and documentation.

Pay particular attention to the following from the condition standards:

Cosmetic imperfections and normal wear and tear indicative of the age and mileage of the vehicle should be expected.

• Tires (4 mm minimum tread remaining)
• Exterior may exhibit:
  • Paint scratches that measure up to 10 cm in one direction
  • Scuffs and scrapes that measure up to 10 cm in multiple directions
  • Dents or dings that are less than 5 cm in diameter
• Glass may exhibit:
  • Up to one chip less than or equal to 1.3 cm in diameter, not in the driver's line of sight
• Wheels may exhibit:
  • Scratches, gouges, chips, or dents less than 15 cm
• Interior may exhibit:
  • Wear on upholstery or interior panels including markings, discoloration, small tears, or stains up to 2.5 cm

• Should come with at least 1 key card.
• Should come with J1772 charging adapter.
